Harvest is Here

Harvest is here.

It always comes with mixed emotions. It is the culmination of our hard work for the year. The fruits to our labor, literally. We wait all year for harvest. It is the ultimate reward for all our hard work, months of planning, preparing and growing a crop.

But man does it come with long hours, endless breakdowns, loads of sweat, dirt for days and lonely nights.

Harvest and I have a love/hate relationship. We wait all year for it come, but when it gets here I also set a countdown to when its over. As much as I try to mentally prepare myself, it takes awhile to get used to the new season.

It’s a struggle.

But it’s okay to struggle.

It’s okay to embrace the chaos and throw up your hands all at the same time.

When life gets rough, something we just need to sit down, buckle up and close your eyes for the next two months.
