Carnivore Appetizer
Since April, I have been doing the Carnivore diet. The first couple of months, I was more strict and kept to meat, dairy and eggs. That is it. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Except once your body gets use to it, you don’t really eat 3 meals a day. The protein fills you up and I am not hungry. After 4 months I started bringing in certain fruits and vegetables in my diet again. Of course, almonds are always a staple in my diet- and carnivore friendly! I made certain to keep carbs, sugars and processed food out of the diet still.
I set a goal of 50 pounds before the end of the year, and I have 3 more pounds to go! That being said, the holidays are extra hard to stick to it. There is sugar, bread, pasta, candy, and cookies everywhere! But I am trying to stay true. So, this holiday season I am certain to always bring an appetizer I know I can eat. It is good to have options out there, and understanding that I do not need to try all the options has been a learning moment.
I tried this cheese prosciutto for Friendsgiving and it was requested for Thanksgiving as well as on the list for Christmas too! It is so good, my kids even loved it. If you want a true Carnivore version- omit the honey and almonds. I love it either way.
